The warranty is valid for 2 years or 50,000 KM (whichever comes first) according to the date of purchase on your sale invoice, or the mileage on the warranty card, under the following conditions:

  • The tyre damage warranty policy guarantees only the conditions specified in this policy. In the event of any conflict between the terms of this Warranty Policy and the terms of any other agreement (including but not limited to distributorship or sales contracts), the terms of this Warranty Policy shall prevail and control solely with respect to the subject matter herein.
  • The warranty shall remain valid until the tyre is worn to a remaining tread depth of 1.6 mm. All warranty claims are subject to the initial assessment and sole discretion of the Company. Any physical inspection of alleged damage or defects must be conducted by an Authorized Service Agent or a Company-certified representative.
  • The Company and its Authorized Distributors shall not be liable for any claims resulting from tyres that have been removed, reinstalled, altered, or repaired by any unauthorized third party following the initial installation.
  • This warranty does not cover any loss, injury, or damage resulting from criminal acts, intentional misconduct, fire, or theft. Furthermore, any use of the product in competitive racing, off-road events, or for any purpose other than its intended design shall immediately void this warranty.
  • The Company reserves the right to cancel, amend, or modify this Policy, in whole or in part, at its sole discretion and without prior notice.

WHAT IS NOT INCLUDED BY THIS TYRE WARRANTY POLICY

KIRIN Tyres does not warrant against damage resulting from customer negligence, improper maintenance, or external accidents not attributable to manufacturing defects. Such instances shall void the warranty for the affected product, including but not limited to:

  • Tyres that have been improperly removed or reinstalled, or any tyre that has been improperly repaired or operated with impaired balance.
  • Tyres exhibiting premature or irregular wear due to improper inflation pressure or having been operated while flat.
  • Damage resulting from tyres being operated with zero or insufficient air pressure.
  • Damage caused by running while flat or under-inflated below the manufacturer’s specified standards.
  • Premature or irregular wear caused by defective vehicle mechanical conditions, including misalignment, wheel imbalance, and faulty shock absorbers or brakes.
  • Tyres installed or used with valves, rims, or wheels that are incompatible with the specific tyre type.
  • Worn-out tyres; those with a remaining tread groove depth equal to or less than 1.6 mm.
  • Tyres that have been retreaded, regrooved, or repaired.
  • Tyres worn due to overloading or exceeding the speed ratings prescribed in the manufacturer’s technical manual.
  • Used tyres or tyres that have been resold.
  • Tyres that have been stored improperly.
  • Tyres used in a manner inconsistent with the manufacturer’s official user manual.
  • Tyres worn or damaged by chemicals, fire, flood, accidents, or unauthorized vehicle modifications and configurations.
  • Tyres purchased from retailers that are not authorized KIRIN Tyres distributors or approved agents.
  • Tyres damaged due to weather conditions or atmospheric effects.

Limitations and exclusions of the warranty.

  • Misuse/Competitive driving
  • Overloading
  • Uneven tire tread
  • Disaster, fire, theft

LIMITATION AND TERMINATION OF WARRANTY

Warranty coverage for road hazard injuries or damages caused by obstacles and debris shall terminate and/or shall not apply in the following cases:

  • Misuse of Application: Tyres that have been misused, such as passenger car tyres installed on pickup trucks or vans, or any application exceeding the tyre’s rated capacity.
  • Racing and Competition: Tyres fitted to any vehicle used for racing or competitive events.
  • Tread Separation: Tyres exhibiting tread delamination or separation.
  • Unauthorized Internal Materials: Tyres containing any foreign material inserted after production, such as waterproofing foams.
  • Improper Assembly and Service: Tyres that have been improperly assembled or disassembled, operated with impaired balance, or used with improper patches and repairs.
  • Substandard Hardware: Tyres used with rims or wheels that are defective or do not meet the standards specified in the vehicle’s original equipment manual.
  • Incompatible Components: Tyres installed or used with valves, rims, or wheels that are unsuitable for the specific tyre type.
  • Mechanical and Maintenance Neglect: Damage, premature wear, or abnormal wear patterns caused by defective vehicle mechanical conditions, including incorrect wheel alignment, imbalance, faulty brakes or shock absorbers resulting from the owner’s failure to maintain the vehicle. It further includes any damage caused by operating the vehicle while tyres are flat or maintained at inflation pressures below or above specified standards.
  • Exceeding Technical Limits: Tyres subjected to vehicle weights or speeds that exceed the standards specified in the manufacturer’s tyre manual.
  • Resale and Retreading: Tyres that have been previously used, resold, or retreaded.
  • Environmental and External Damage: Tyres damaged or destroyed by chemical exposure, fire, water, accidents, or unauthorized modifications to the vehicle’s body or suspension.
  • Atmospheric Effects: Tyres damaged due to weather conditions and atmospheric effects (such as ozone cracking or dry rot).
